Spindle is delighted to announce a landmark sponsorship with China Joy, China’s largest e-Sports competition.
ChinaJoy is an established digital exhibition and conference, running from August 3rd to the 6th at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). This year’s event will see over 280,000 visitors attend, and will showcase a full range of gaming and software products. The sponsorship is part of Spindle’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its relationship with the gaming community and a wider promotion of its activities in China.
Spindle will actively support the ChinaJoy event and offer competition winners Spindle Coins as prizes.
Masamitsu Hirai, Chief Executive Officer for Spindle, explains: “The game and entertainment markets are highly compatible with new digital currencies. The characteristics of blockchain in allowing decentralized payments means circulation among users as an “internal currency” of a game aligns with the borderless environment of the online gaming ecosystem.
We believe it is important to contribute the development of e-Sports, a market in which cryptocurrency is already used in a practical setting. In cooperation with the ChinaJoy Organizing Committee, we will organize a promotion plan targeting both players, and also the ChinaJoy general audience.
As for Spindle, distributing our token in this market is an excellent opportunity to increase its value as a currency and enhance the perception of our product.
Raising recognition of Spindle through this sponsorship of will work effectively a base to expand business opportunities. We expect and welcome future ventures with game and entertainment platforms.”
Preceding the ChinaJoy exhibition, Black Star will be participating in “Finance Disrupted”, an event hosted by The Economist on the 22nd June, again as a key sponsor. This event is held yearly, attracting VIPs from global financial institutions and will be held at JW Marriott in Hong Kong Admiralty.
In an especially busy period for the Spindle team, the token has been listed on 5 exchanges as of 21st May, and has joined cooperation group BIAS (Blockchain Industry Alliance Shanghai) opening a supporting Shanghai office.
ChinaJoy is China’s largest e-Sports competition, created with aim of promoting healthy growth and management of e-Sports in China (operated by the China Joy Organization Committee under the guidance of the government).
